Tryout Information
Location: Aurora Youth Center-313 Gale St.
Clinic Date: Saturday, August 21st 11:00am-1:00PM
Tryout Date: Saturday, August 28th-10:00am-1:00PM
Cost: $25.00/athlete
Athletes will learn a short dance routine at the tryout clinic
to be performed during the actual tryout.
Athletes will need to be perform the following at the tryout:
- Jumps-Herkie, Double Toe Touch, Pike, Double 9
- Tumbling Skills (standing & running)-ALL skills MUST be
performed on a mat without a spotter.
- Dance routine (learned at clinic)
- Stunting-We will be creating stunt groups at the clinic.
Bases and spotters must demonstrate the following:
Level 4
Level 2
Level 2-360 up or down to load-in -Elevator w/straight cradle
-Elevator w/straight cradle-Full extension w/twist cradle -Full extension w/straight cradle
-Full extension w/straight cradle-Extended one-legged stunt -Prep level one-legged stunt
-Prep level one-legged stunt-Basket Toss -Basket Toss
-Basket TossFlyers- All athletes wishing to be a flyer, must perform the following on the mat:
All positions should be held for a minimum of 1 8-count
- Heel stretch
- Scale
- Arabesque
- Scorpion
- Bow & Arrow
In addition, a flyer MUST be able to fly all stunts listed above
ALL ATHLETES MUST TURN IN THEIR ATHLETE/PARENT CONTRACT
PRIOR TO THE START OF TRYOUTS ON AUGUST 28TH.
NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO TRYOUT WITHOUT A SIGNED CONTRACT!!!!!
NO EXCEPTIONS!
